I wore my new boots around the farm yesterday while taking down stands, hoping to get them broke in before heading out on an upcoming hog hunt. To my dismay the boots didn't really seem to require any breaking in. The fit was good, and the walking was comfortable. My previous experience with snake boots, different manufacturer, left me with sore ankles...causing me to leave a pair of expensive boots in the trash can.

I was deep in a alabama swamp and it was a hot muggy morning. The situation dictated that I cross beaver dam to get into a better position to kill the turkey. No other options. The turkey was gobbling like crazy and half way across the dam I see two water mocassins at my feet. Normally I would have screamed and probably broken a leg jumping back. The Lacrosse snakeboots gave me a confidence not to freak out and I let the snakes roll off into the water and I proceeded on. Five minutes later I'm standing over a beautiful dead turkey. No way I would have been that calm without my snake boots. If warm enough for snakes I'm wearing them. Thanks for a great product.

These fit great ! If you have large calves, you will not need to worry! Also no weak zipper to break in the field. This boot has large pull holes, so you can get 3 or 4 fingers in to pull them on! I tested these in fast moving water, and they have great grip and are waterproof! I tried 2 other brands and both leaked. Also my other pairs had laces or zippers. Pull on is the way to go!
