Details

After 4 years in development and thousands of hours in design and testing, we launched Aeroform, a revolutionary new rubber hunting boot construction that takes the best in comfort, flexibility and durability and packages it together in a revolutionary lightweight form.

Some may believe that glory and fame comes with securing your name to a patent, however that’s not why we do it. For over 115 years, we have focused on developing innovative footwear, not for gimmicks or recognition, but because we are passionate about developing innovative solutions that matter.
Over four years in development and tested over 4,000 miles, the AeroHead™ is a truly revolutionary hunting boot. It features patent-pending AeroForm™ technology, a groundbreaking new construction that offers an extremely comfortable fit, with the ultimate in flexibility and durability all in a lightweight form. The shell around the neoprene core is molded with polyurethane, which is more durable, flexible, insulating and lightweight than rubber. With a thick layer of cushion underfoot, an integrated shank for support and a rugged rubber outsole, the LaCrosse AeroHead™ redefines comfort and protection in the field.

  • 7.0MM naturally insulating neoprene
  • Adjustable back gusset and strap with adjustable fit for various leg sizes
  • Armor Weld liquid rubber protective coating on the seams

Each year, along with most of my hunting friends, I purchase an expensive pair of LaCrosse hunting boots, and each year they fail to stand up to the challenges of the Louisiana swamps. Most of us don't mind paying for good boots that will hold up to the encounters of the swamps, but having to purchase $140 boots each year because they aren't built tough enough is getting old.

The most common problem is that after about 20 miles of walking they all develop a crack and leak right where the rubber meets the neoprene. Being an avid hunter puts me in contact with many other hunters in Louisiana, and I've found this is a common occurrence with most boots, and especially our LaCrosse boots. If you'd like I can send you pictures of what I'm explaining.
After watching the Arrowhead promotion on your website, where they were supposedly tested for 4,000 miles I had to laugh, and think to myself, "they didn't walk in my swamp, because if they had they would have leaked after about 20 miles".

It appears that the flexing of the boot is what causes this wear to crack the boot. Is there anything you plan to do to stop this, because frankly I, along with many other hunters, are sick of paying good money for a product that just doesn't hold up like it should.

We need rubber boots that are 18" tall, well insulated, tough - tear resistant (lots of briars, sticks, canes, cypress knees, and such to tear a boot), that is light and can last more than half a season. Do you have anything that meets those demands?

    Great Boot

I live in Alaska and have been a die-hard fan of XtraTuffs for years. After buying this boot, I will never wear XtraTuffs again. I use these boots year round for hunting, fishing, and trapping. They are really comfortable in all types of terrain - woods, mountains, rocky beaches. They front guards keep the devils club at bay. I would recommend the thinner (3.5mm) to anyone who will be using these in warm weather - the 7mm is a little warm in the summer time on long hikes.

Lacrosse listened to what the hunters needed, and built a comfortable, reliable, and warm boot tough enough to hold up under the most punishing conditions, the Honey Island Swamp. These are by far the best hunting boots I've every owned.
