It’s a pretty simple value… if you don’t know what someone needs, just ask. That is how we approach each design, working directly with the men and women of their trade; from miners and railroaders to ice road truckers… we strive to develop the footwear that they ask for.
Some may believe that glory and fame comes with securing your name to a patent, however that’s not why we do it. For over 115 years, we have focused on developing innovative footwear, not for gimmicks or recognition, but because we are passionate about developing innovative solutions that matter.

The 12" 2-buckle Tracktion™ Overshoe features the patented Tracktion™ retractable studded outsole and 100% waterproof, vulcanized black rubber for superior protection in snow and ice. Technology remains flexible in temperatures to -60 degrees Fahrenheit. Non-corrosive steel buckles adjust for a comfortable fit, and a deeper heel facilitates ladder work. The 3M™ reflective material provides visibility in low-light conditions. The 12" Tracktion™ Overshoe also provides protection from salt, oils, creosote and diesel fuels, making it popular in various industrial applications.

Features
  • Ozone-resistant, vulcanized rubber offers 100% waterproof protection.
  • 3M® Scotchlite™ reflective material provides visibility in low lighting.

Comments about LaCrosse Tracktion 4-Buckle 12" Overshoes:

I deliver fuel oil in northern Maine and these boots are the best. If you work outdoors on ice and snow you will really appreciate the traction you get from the studs. Virtually slip free, only thing that will get you is 2-3 inches of snow on top of glare ice, but if you drag your feet your fine even then. Don't think twice just by some!

Comments about LaCrosse Tracktion 4-Buckle 12" Overshoes:

Some of the best winter boots around. they work well on ice under water. Old snow. Fresh snow. Even a little bit in clayish soil. Don't get over confident and cocky as ice can be unpredictable. However i can at times move my pace a little quicker because of the spikes. Where i work we get new boots when we are missing more than several spikes. These boots are useless without the spikes. This is my second year wearing these overboots. They wear quickly for us Railworkers because we walk on rocks, asphalt, compacted earth and rough faced steel walkways. For us a boot change once or twice in the winter is not unusual.

Comments about LaCrosse Tracktion 4-Buckle 12" Overshoes:

These overboots are a very convenient way to add warmth and traction to any pair of boots. I work in the oilfields in Alaska, and it's a policy with the company I work for, to have some type of traction aid on ice and snow. In addition to these, we also have the Neo Explorer StabilICERS available to us. While the Neos may be just a tad warmer than these, the LaCrosse offers substantially better traction, both on ice/snow, and on hard surfaces as well. These are also much more weather resistant in water and slush too. They can be a bit of a chore to get over your boots, most users place a plastic grocery bag over their boots to aid entry. The buckles can also fold rather easily, so use caution if it requires any force to close them. The carbide traction tips are very long lasting, unlike the Neos, which wear quickly, and often fall out. (but are replaceable) There is also a bit of of an arch molded into the sole, so flat bottomed boots can be a little tricky as far as fitting goes. Order a size larger, as a size 11 just fits over my size 10 Danner work boots. In summary, if you are looking for a way to add winter capabilities to any pair of over the ankle footwear, I highly advise giving these over boots a try.

I work in Alaska on the ice roads. Amazing. Our company bought these for everyone. Truely amazing. I wear street socks and tennis shoes and even in -60 my feet stay warm. Great on the ice also. I get one season out of mine as we use them alot but they are well worth the money.
