In 1897 LaCrosse opened its doors manufacturing rubber horseshoes, quickly transitioning into overshoes, rubber boots. Next came jungle boots, pac boots, tennis shoes, boating shoes, moonboots, hip boots, waders, leather boots, mining boots and many more… And through it all we’ve learned many lessons that have contributed to a century of experience in crafting high quality footwear.
The frigid temperatures of La Crosse, Wisconsin provided all the research and development we needed to begin manufacturing Pac boots many years ago. However, the blizzard of 1985 made us rethink our single felt lined Pac boots as we revolutionized the Pac boot industry by launching the Iceman, our very first double lined Pac boot.

Built for extreme cold the Ice King® is a LaCrosse classic. Developed and worn by gamesmen and outdoor enthusiasts in the midwest this boot has stood the test of time and the test of ice and snow for generations. Drawing on naturally insulating properties, this boot combines a felt midsole, felt insole and a poly foam liner with 400G Thinsulate™ Ultra Insulation for the ultimate in warmth. The 100% waterproof rubber bottom with the ground-gripping Trac-Lite outsole will keep your feet dry and secure on slushy terrain. And just in case you hit a warm spell and the weather warms up to a happy –40 degrees, you can always remove the poly-foam liner.

  • Trac-Lite™ outsole delivers outstanding all-around traction in mud, snow and other loose terrain

I hunt in serious cold weather, my treestand sits 20+ feet in december, snowmobile and coyote hunt all winter in 300+ anual snow fall. My feet have never been cold in 20 years, on my 3rd pair and I'm not really 'that' tough. Talking my wife into the 4th pair. Good price for performance. It's one thing to have a warm boot walking, but these are warm sitting from dawn to dusk. Can't even look at another boot. Good luck if you got anything less. I've heard once your toes go black, you don't have to worry about your boot anyway.

I bought my Ice Kings in '05; no regrets. I use them for field hunting waterfowl in winter weather. Combine them with heavy socks and liners and one can stay out the entire day.

We live in the UP near the south shore of lake Superior, where we get in the range of 300 +/- inches of snow each year. Bought these for my wife after her disappointment with many other "Winter Boots" I have had a pair of "Ice Man" boots that have kept me warm and dry for around 20 years now. I believe any other boot is second best. Unfortunately the rubber outsole has cracked after years of hard use so I will be purchasing a pair of "Ice Kings for myself also! Thanks for a great product!!

Nice but got hole in it first season

      By mom

      from Wisconsin

I purchased this boot for my son after having Icemans for a very long time and they held up very well. This is a very well insulated boot but at the end of the first season, the Ice King boot got a hole in it right at a crease line in the rubber. I am very disappointed since I paid a lot of money for a boot that didn't last.
