In 1897 LaCrosse opened its doors manufacturing rubber horseshoes, quickly transitioning into overshoes, rubber boots. Next came jungle boots, pac boots, tennis shoes, boating shoes, moonboots, hip boots, waders, leather boots, mining boots and many more… And through it all we’ve learned many lessons that have contributed to a century of experience in crafting high quality footwear.
It’s a pretty simple value… if you don’t know what someone needs, just ask. That is how we approach each design, working directly with the men and women of their trade; from miners and railroaders to ice road truckers… we strive to develop the footwear that they ask for.

Built with the toughest full grain leather, an armor of an abrasion and chemical resistance to oil, gas and barnyard chemicals, the fortitude of an oil and slip resistant outsole and a fortress of Dry-Core™ waterproof protection, the Extreme Tough boot isn't just tough, it's Extreme.

Pros

  • Stable
  • Stylish

Cons

  • Poor Quality
  • Wear Out Quickly

Best Uses

I had high hopes for these boots. After just a few days the Helcor leather got a few small dings and surface abrasions on it. I only wore them in the office and driving my car so I was perplexed how I could have scuffed them so quickly. I had fullgrain Caterpillar boots that took months to get the sort of wear the Helcor material seemed to develop. So the Helcor treatment seems to be worthless when it comes to abraision resistance.

Then just after a week of wearing them part time an eyelet failed.

Lacrosse replaced the boots with a different model. I was less than impressed with the pair I had so that's why I'm giving a single star.

Five stars to Lacross customer service.

    Walking Sole loose

    By Randy Big

    from Wisconsin

    Pros

    • Comfortable

    Cons

    • Not durable

    Best Uses

    • Work

The walking rubber sole of the boot, after less then a year's worth of moderate use, has lost its adhesiveness to the boot. Also, the toe of the boot is showing more wear then expected after the amount of use. I have never put these boots through un-normal working conditions.
