Details

Many years ago, we noticed that farmers were starting to wear our rubber work boots to hunt in, realizing that rubber is not only 100% waterproof but also provides scent-free protection. It was at this exact moment in time that LaCrosse became, and continues to be, the leader in scent-free footwear.
During his studies at the University of Notre Dame, Albert Funk helped to pioneer the development of synthetic rubber, also known as neoprene. He would later partner with his brother Arthur, becoming owners of the LaCrosse Rubber Mills, where they would revolutionize the rubber boot industry with the introduction of ALPHA, the very first neoprene lined rubber boot.

The Alphaburly® Sport hunting boot is made of insulated, scent-free, rubber-clad neoprene for waterproof comfort and protection. Naturally-insulating neoprene stretches for a personalized fit, and, together with the LaCrosse® Ankle-Fit™ design, guarantees exceptional comfort. Fleece lining provides moisture management, comfort and warmth, and varying levels of Thinsulate™ Ultra Insulation offer additional warmth for colder conditions. The adjustable gusset with Cam-Loc buckle accommodates varying calf sizes.

Features
  • LaCrosse® innovated Alpha technology by combining high quality rubber with naturally insulating neoprene resulting in an extremely durable, lightweight, comfortable and scent free boot
  • 800 grams of Thinsulate™ Ultra Insulation lines the inside of the boot to keep you warm on the coldest days
  • Thick cushioning EVA midsole offers extra comfort and shock absorption
  • Cam-loc buckle supplies a customized fit and is easily adjustable to accommodate clothing
  • Developed in 1963, LaCrosse® Ankle-Fit™design features a narrowed ankle pocket that grips the top of the foot better and locks the heel in place preventing excess rubbing and chafing
  • Realtree AP™ is neutral, open, high contrast, and realistic. The High Definition® printing process stands up to the real-life effects of nature
  • Lightweight cushioning and outstanding stability from the rugged Treestand outsole provide optimal traction in all conditions and prevent build up of mud
  • Nylon shank
  • 18" height
  • 5.5 lbs per pair
  • Rated for temperatures as low as -60° F. Learn More

      Cons

      • Poor Quality

      Best Uses

      • Not hunting in woods
      • Not hunting thick brush
      • Walking in a puddle

I got a pair of these in October 2009, just prior to bow season here in Alabama. Wore them all deer season and patched two holes within the first 2 months of use. Wore them during turkey season, patched one more hole. It's a comfortable boot, but it doesn't do what I need it to do. If I walk across a brush field and step on a stob sticking up, the boot better not get a hole ripped in it. One hole was caused by a THORN! My skin is tougher than that! I will never pay this kind of money for another pair of your boots until yall start manufacturing a quality boot that doesn't tear with the slightest obstruction. Lots of guys down here in my neck of the woods are saying the same thing and have started buying Muck boots. I tried to stand behind Lacrosse, but yall's boots just suck. I also have a pair of side zip up snake boots made by yall, and they suck too. Yall might oughta start making pool floats or tarps or something simpler.

I was walking trough the woods the very first time I had the boots on and a twige the size of a nickle went right trough it. I called the company about what happened and they told me to ship them back and they told me we will see what we can do, this dosn't do any good when you want to hunt.
