In 1897 LaCrosse opened its doors manufacturing rubber horseshoes, quickly transitioning into overshoes, rubber boots. Next came jungle boots, pac boots, tennis shoes, boating shoes, moonboots, hip boots, waders, leather boots, mining boots and many more… And through it all we’ve learned many lessons that have contributed to a century of experience in crafting high quality footwear.
It’s a pretty simple value… if you don’t know what someone needs, just ask. That is how we approach each design, working directly with the men and women of their trade; from miners and railroaders to ice road truckers… we strive to develop the footwear that they ask for.

Built with the toughest full grain leather, an armor of an abrasion and chemical resistance to oil, gas and barnyard chemicals, the fortitude of an oil and slip resistant outsole and a fortress of Dry-Core™ waterproof protection, the Extreme Tough boot isn't just tough, it's Extreme.

Comments about LaCrosse Extreme Tough Logger Plain Toe Work Boots:

I am a forester and I bought these boots for field work. I walk a lot for my job, between cruising and marking timber, and logging inspections I can put boots through a lot. These are pretty good but after six months of field use they are torn in some place and the soles are breaking on the sides. If you are going to be spending time walking through thick bushes and briars, I cannot reccomend these as the briars will cut stitched seams and cause these boots to leak and fall apart. I will admit though they where comofortable and waterproof, for about three months.
