In 1897 LaCrosse opened its doors manufacturing rubber horseshoes, quickly transitioning into overshoes, rubber boots. Next came jungle boots, pac boots, tennis shoes, boating shoes, moonboots, hip boots, waders, leather boots, mining boots and many more… And through it all we’ve learned many lessons that have contributed to a century of experience in crafting high quality footwear.
It’s a pretty simple value… if you don’t know what someone needs, just ask. That is how we approach each design, working directly with the men and women of their trade; from miners and railroaders to ice road truckers… we strive to develop the footwear that they ask for.

Built with the toughest full grain leather, an armor of an abrasion and chemical resistance to oil, gas and barnyard chemicals, the fortitude of an oil and slip resistant outsole and a fortress of Dry-Core™ waterproof protection, the Extreme Tough boot isn't just tough, it's Extreme.

  • Oil and slip resistant rubber outsole with a 90° heel for extreme outdoor traction and durability

not happy wet feet!!

By Desperado

from Gaylord ,MI

i work outside all day and bought these boots because they looked and claimed to be tough and "100% waterproof " plus they were supposed to wick away swet they do neither!!!!!!! They are less than 6 months old and the soles and the seal where they're stichrd to the boot are cracking all to piecesand letting water in so I spent about a $100 to STILL HAVE WET FEET!!!!!I guess back tobuying boots at a supercenter at least those made 6 months

I replaced a pair of Columbia slip-on snow boots of which the rubber bottoms totally disintegrated after a couple winters. I thought these looked more like work boots than winter boots, so I was leery of using them just for winter boots, but they are awesome in wet and snow, have excellent grip and maintain a comfortable foot temp with either cotton or wool-blend socks. While a little stiff at first they break in nicely. The sole looks like it will last a long time. I can get plantar fasciitis (heal pain) if my footwear doesn't have proper stiffness in the sole and support in the arch, but these boots fit the bill nicely. I take my dog for long walks in the cold winter months and with these boots I have never experienced any heal pain nor cold toes.
