This is my main Montana ranch boot. All seasons for everyday - even in the summer. My feet don't get wet, in summer they don't get hot, and in winter w/ insoles and good wool socks my feet stay warm. They shed water, grease and manure better than most any other boot I have used in the same way. The height is good even in snow deeper than the boot tops; another inch in height would improve these boots. I love the off/on ease w/the side zipper. I wear then hard, almost every day and a pair will last about three years. The rubber bottoms eventually wear out by cracking or splitting, and the soles get a little slippery as the tread wears off. But, in general the rubber bottoms are very resilient and durable. The leather tops are tough and I have never had a zipper in these boots fail.

I wanted a classic design PAC boot and the Mesquite™ 200G stands out as the real deal and much better quality than comparable product brands out there. They also look really great. The sizes seem to run a bit large, but I use thick socks in these, so fit is great anyway. Quick on and off for use in wet and cold conditions is essential to me and these boots meets that requirement with the sturdy side zipper.
