Details

Rubber, in its natural uncured form, is a sticky substance extracted from trees and then turned into a durable and elastic material through the process of vulcanization. This process is unique to each manufacturer and for over 115 years, we have been experimenting, testing, and tweaking our process, ensuring that our rubber goods are of the highest quality.
During his studies at the University of Notre Dame, Albert Funk helped to pioneer the development of synthetic rubber, also known as neoprene. He would later partner with his brother Arthur, becoming owners of the LaCrosse Rubber Mills, where they would revolutionize the rubber boot industry with the introduction of ALPHA, the very first neoprene lined rubber boot.

We live our lives on the go… pick up, drop off, run here, run there, don’t forget about this and, don’t worry, I will get to that. It can be a bit frustrating, but, as proven by the design of our Hampton II, can also be inspiring. Featuring the functional combination of a durable 100% waterproof rubber exterior, a cushioning neoprene interior and our rugged walker outsole, the Hampton II will comfort you through the daily grind.

    Comments about LaCrosse Hampton II Women's Black Boots:

    This is my second winter season in these boots. In spite of owning various high-end waterproof leather low boots and snow boots, this shoe is my go-to footwear. Light-weight on your feet and in your suitcase. Very warm, yet they do not trap moisture like many rubber boots. And the arch and foot support is much better than 99% of rubber boots. Love these in black for extra wearability with nice black pants to slightly dressier places.
