Pros
- Great for spring turkey
Cons
Best Uses
- Scouting
- Spring Gobbler
I used these boots for the first time in the early spring gobbler season in Pennsylvania. It was great to be able to use and remove the wool liner based on the variety of temperatures Pennsylvania Spring Gobbler season produces. One morning you may have freezing temps and the next you may be hunting a morning at 70 degrees. These are well versed for the occasion. Will be anxious to see how they do in the fall. Great Product! Highly recommend for the Turkey hunter! One thing to remember is that they are only WATERPROOF to where the rubber meets the leather. Don't expect a calf high waterproofing. No walking through deep streams. Use the alpha burlys for that!
20 years ago I bought a pair of Mountarineers while living in Idaho. Since moved to Oregon. These boots have lasted through an incredible series of adventures and lives. After 20 hard years, they have finally worn out. I was so happy to see that the same boot (plus a few minor tweeks) is available. Am ordering them now.
These are some of the best, most comfortable boots I have ever had. I just threw my 15 year old boots away. I am definitely getting a new pair.
