In 1897 LaCrosse opened its doors manufacturing rubber horseshoes, quickly transitioning into overshoes, rubber boots. Next came jungle boots, pac boots, tennis shoes, boating shoes, moonboots, hip boots, waders, leather boots, mining boots and many more… And through it all we’ve learned many lessons that have contributed to a century of experience in crafting high quality footwear.
During his studies at the University of Notre Dame, Albert Funk helped to pioneer the development of synthetic rubber, also known as neoprene. He would later partner with his brother Arthur, becoming owners of the LaCrosse Rubber Mills, where they would revolutionize the rubber boot industry with the introduction of ALPHA, the very first neoprene lined rubber boot.

Completely refreshed for 2013, the Alphaburly® Pro is focused on a personalized fit and guaranteed comfort. Constructed with a more-natural rubber compound, this boot is much more flexible and easier to get on and off. We’ve replaced the fleece lining with an embossed neoprene liner for good air circulation to keep legs and feet cool and comfortable while the adjustable neoprene gusset increases stability and accommodates varying calf sizes.

  • Love the height

Cons

  • none

Best Uses

  • Lots of walking

These boots are fantastic. I am woman and bought men's boots for the extra height and am not disappointed. These are so comfortable, I wish Lacrosse made shoes. We do lots of walking through all kinds of terrain. They do not come off your feet in the mud, that is a plus!! :)

AWESOME BOOTS

By MY REVIEW DD

from North West Arkansas

Pros

  • Very Comfortable

Cons

  • none

Best Uses

  • Scouting Hunting Fishin

I just bought these boots Feb. 2015,I believe in leaving accurate info so others can make decisions. If you wear a size 10 get a 10 they run a little big my quess is to accept thicker socks but will fit you.
I hunted in 28 degrees 17 wind chill with snow and ice on the ground and my feet did get cold that's my problem not the boots. My feet tend to get cold.I should have purchased the 1600 gram insulation but i didn't want the heavy bulky boots. I ordered a 600 gram pair of socks from Sweden to fix my problem called (wool power).Dont go off lacrosse temp rating like (rated for 60 degree to - 20) I don't think they know how cold -20 really is (I found that out) So if your feet get crazy cold you might want a more insulated pair, but if your feet don't tend to get cold much than you'll love these boots. you can wear them all day These boots are really comfortable. Guy's be safe out there, hope this helps you.

Cons

  • Camo Wearing Away
  • Cold

Best Uses

I got these boots for Christmas and wore them a couple of times hunting in late bow season. I experienced some problems with them though the camo is already wearing off after 3 times of use. They are also very cold. The only good thing about them is they a comfortable. So I guess you couldn use them to walk around the mall in.
