In 1897 LaCrosse opened its doors manufacturing rubber horseshoes, quickly transitioning into overshoes, rubber boots. Next came jungle boots, pac boots, tennis shoes, boating shoes, moonboots, hip boots, waders, leather boots, mining boots and many more… And through it all we’ve learned many lessons that have contributed to a century of experience in crafting high quality footwear.
First came the rubber boot, but we wanted to go deeper. Next came the hip boot, but we wanted to go deeper. And onto the development of the first LaCrosse chest wader that featured the collection of multiple innovations, from Ankle-Fit design to our Alpha Construction. And while we still have high hopes of camo covered scuba gear, we decided to just perfect the chest wader.

LaCrosse® Super-Tuff™ waders are designed for durability and comfort. They’re constructed of 5mm fleecelined neoprene with abrasion-resistant bidirectional facing and durable, locking double stitched seams. The boot offers cold weather protection with a 9mm felt midsole and 1000 G. Thinsulate™ Ultra Insulation. The Trac-Lite™ outsole grips in soggy, slippery conditions. Suspenders have Velcro® straps for hunting comfort and reverse to create a belt when they are folded down. Deep-set handwarmer is included in the cargo pocket. Knees are reinforced for durability.

Hunted 35 days in them couldnt ask for a better pair of waders. For long walks the cushioning on the boot leaves a little to be desired. But all around a great pair of waders. Plus it comes in bottomland.

Comments about LaCrosse Super-Tuff 1000G Mossy Oak Bottomland Waders:

i am a hardcore timber hunter first off. i put miles in when i scout by foot. i had two pair of these for the 12-13 season in arkansas, the first pair leaked around the seams of the boot and seams around the crotch. returned the first pair and used my second pair but noticed after the first week of season the velcro was coming off the wader. the straps are not a designed for repetitive use. every time i raised my arms to shoot the straps would come off. eventually the right velcro patch came completly off. then by the third week of season my seams around the crotch began to leak and it only got worse as the season progressed. the only plus to these waders for me was the camo pattern.

          VELCRO STRAPS

Comments about LaCrosse Super-Tuff 1000G Mossy Oak Bottomland Waders:

I too am a Lacrosse guy.. but this year I went with the Supermags from Cabelas. I hunt every day of the season throughout three states, I am guide on the east coast and half way through the season I was colder than ever and it wasn't even a cold season this year.. Had a hole warn in the top of both boots leaking water bad.. I truly missed the inner layer of the Lacrosse waders and the durability of the boot, I will be back next year.. but I do have to say I love the bottomland camo but wish it was in 1600's and no velcro, this is the main reason I went to another wader. I will just have to go back with the plastic buckle.

I have duck hunted in Lacrosse waders for years, but I am very unhappy with the performance of the velcro straps. They have stayed undone most of the season. Prefer the buckles for my chest waders.

Comments about LaCrosse Super-Tuff 1000G Mossy Oak Bottomland Waders:

I have had 3 pairs of the Brush Tuff waders. Just couldn't justify spending the extra $$ this year so went with these and I love the bottomland pattern. I am stocky and the stout is a much better fit for me than Cabelas and Drake in the crotch. Have hunted twice in these so far and they are everything I need. Was concerned about only having 1000G's of insulation in the boot, but it has not been a problem yet, only wearing a decent pair of socks. The velcro straps have not been an issue yet, and honestly the only problem I have had so far with them are is the left one sticks to my gun sling so I will probably just change sling materials. I do question the actual boots. They honestly just look cheap compared to my old pairs but the acutal wader material itself is perfect and reinforced in the knees so we'll see if the boots hold up. I would by these again in a heartbeat at this point so it's obviously not bothering me that bad.
