I used these almost every day and man was I hard on them. They took everything I could throw at them from scouting, camping, work, and just daily use, but I finally wore them out and need a new pair. I will be getting another pair no doubt about it, cause Ive tried other brands and none have fit my wide foot and the others wherent comfortable from the start.
I've been looking for a product like this for some time. I am a footwear engineer by profession (I don't work for LaCrosse), and I can tell you they are on the right track here. I've tried similar styles from other companies, but they either wore out too quickly, or fit horribly or were engineered in such a way that made walking uncomfortable. These, however, are perfect. They were a little tight around the collar, but that was good because when they broke in, they were incredibly comfortable, something you might not expect in a boot made to be so durable. I especially like how on the inside heel area, the seam is partially covered. This is where most of my boots have failed, and instead of fabric, it's proper leather. I was a little wary of the outsole material, since it's not vibram rubber, but it seems to hold up well and provides good traction. Note that the boot is not waterproof where the stretchy fabric is, so don't step in any deep puddles. Also, they are ridiculously affordable. I bought two pairs just in case LaCrosse was unwise enough to stop making these.
Pros
- Comfortable
- Nice fit
- Really water proof
Cons
Best Uses
- Muddy work
- Ship board work
I bought these boots of desperation, [...]. I have never worn Lacrosse before I bought these boots, but I decided to give them a shot and plus I had no choice. To my surprise these are some of the best slip on boots I have ever owned. I am very impressed with them, both with the quality and the fit. I work on ships for living, so standing on a metal deck all day can really put your feet and shoes through a grinder. These boots stick to the non-skid decks like glue and the sole gives with each step. I have had these boots for about a month now, they holding up really well and remaining water proof. I will buy again for sure!
Pros
- Comfortable
Cons
- Abrasion wore off fast
- Feet sweat badly
- Slippery sole
Best Uses
I wear the boots on dairy farms. They are good at not letting water in and wash off nice. They make my feet sweat so abd that my socks are soakign wet. I have never had a pair of boots do this to me. The abrasion material has worn off extremely fast.
