Co-designed with a team of veteran miners, the Longwall™ features a waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® lining and a triple-stitched, 2-2.2mm waterproof leather. The non-metallic toe, Flex-Shield II ™ midsole, and a floating MetFlex™ metatarsal guard meet or exceed ASTM F2413-05 M I/75 C/75 EH PR MT. The protective rubber heel and toe are abrasion and chemical resistant. A 360° reflective paneling enhances visibility and the Vibram® outsole provides lightweight comfort as well as superb shock absorption. 200 G. Thinsulate™ provides insulating protection from heat and cold.

Great boots! Commercial Electrician, on my feet non-stop all day. Very comfortable with great ankle support. Warm boot for 200g insulation. Very tough boot, bad habit of kicking stuff, boot shows no scratches or maring of anykind. Pricey, but well worth it. Gortex stands true to its purpose. 3 months old, use a little go-jo and toothbrush shine up like new. Will keep buying time and time again. Oh yeah, haven't had any trouble with the laces.

I work pipeline construction in all types of weather and over all types of terrain. This boot is an excellent product except for the eyelets. Carry spare laces if you purchase these shoes. For the money, the eyelets need to be of better quality. I contacted the company via email and received no response about this problem. I would suggest finding shoes of this quality (but with better eyelets) from another company. I would not purchase another pair because of the companies lack of concern for the quality of their product. I did not ask for a refund or expect one. I did expect the company to take more of an interest in the quality of the product. Heed my advice and shop for high quality, better constructed work boots elsewhere or you will spend a lot of money and time installing new shoe laces.

I have had a pair of these boots for 3 months now. for comfort and support they do very well, the problem I have with them is the boots eyelets wear out a good pair of laces in a day or two.If that was improved upon I would buy another pair. And then recommemd them to co-workers.
