In 1897 LaCrosse opened its doors manufacturing rubber horseshoes, quickly transitioning into overshoes, rubber boots. Next came jungle boots, pac boots, tennis shoes, boating shoes, moonboots, hip boots, waders, leather boots, mining boots and many more… And through it all we’ve learned many lessons that have contributed to a century of experience in crafting high quality footwear.

In 1897 LaCrosse Rubber Mills opened its doors manufacturing rubber horseshoes. Within a few years, however, the invention of the modernfootwear last allowed LaCrosse to re-engineer their manufacturing capabilities as they shifted focus to the craft of rubber overshoes and boots.

Cold temperatures and wet weather don’t mean you have to give up your favorite outdoor activities. Just lace on a pair of Uplanders and you’ve got a waterproof, slip resistant, leather-and-rubber reason to get outside.

Liked the old style better

Not leather inside uppers

Best Uses

I had always ordered 2 pairs at a time and had recently done so again. This time im returning them both. New style has some insulation inside the uppers. That makes them useless for southern bird hunting.
